A 39-year-old Greater Sudbury man is facing multiple charges, including assault and uttering threats, following a series of incidents at a seasonal event in the Town of Massey earlier this month. Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of multiple assaults involving youth at about 8 p.m. on Oct. 18. The incidents occurred during one of the town’s seasonal events. “An investigation was initiated and revealed that the same individual had been involved in several disturbances at various locations throughout the Massey area,” said OPP in a news release. As a result of the investigation, police have charged the man with three counts of assault, as well as one count each of uttering threats, causing a disturbance and resisting a peace officer. The accused was held in custody following his arrest. He is scheduled to appear in court in Espanola on Nov. 6.
