Québec solidaire MNA Sol Zanetti and MNA Etienne Grandmont will be in the running to retain their respective ridings in the upcoming provincial election. The Québec solidaire spokesperson and member for Jean-Lesage, along with the member for Taschereau, were unanimously nominated as candidates on Tuesday evening by party members. The election took place during a joint nomination meeting held at the Club social Victoria in the Saint-Roch neighbourhood of Quebec City. “More than ever, I want to continue working with rigour and dedication to advance the struggles we have begun together,” Zanetti stated in a press release. Zanetti was first elected in his riding in 2018, before being re-elected as a member of the National Assembly in 2022. For his part, Grandmont, who is running for a second term, stated that being a candidate again under the Québec solidaire banner is a “true privilege.” “It is a valuable recognition of the work accomplished with the various agents of change in my riding,” he emphasized.
