In tears, former Liberal MNA Sona Lakhoyan Olivier apologizes to National Assembly

Sona Lakhoyan Olivier, the MNA for Chomedey, offered a tearful apology to the National Assembly after a damning report by the Ethics Commissioner showed that she used her constituency office for partisan purposes during the Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ) leadership race.

Visibly emotional during her apology on Thursday, she acknowledged her responsibility while suggesting that she would remain in office.

The commissioner’s report also stated that Lakhoyan Olivier obstructed her investigation.
