First responders were called to a single motor vehicle collision near Bruce Road 8 and Bruce Road 14 Monday at around 5:30 a.m. The driver, a 35-year-old resident of Southampton, was ejected from the vehicle. They were initially transported to a local hospital before being airlifted by Air Ornge to a trauma centre with injuries deemed serious and life-threatening. The intersection was closed for most of the day while members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team investigated the scene. Police are seeking assistance from the public.
