A nine-year-old boy is in hospital after being hit by a car while he was biking in Brossard on Montreal’s South Shore. Longueuil police (SPAL) received a 911 call at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday about the incident on Matte Boulevard near Illinois Avenue. “The child was quickly transported to a hospital, but fortunately, his life is not in danger,” police note. The force adds that the driver of the vehicle was a 47-year-old man. A security perimeter was established to allow investigators to analyze the scene.
