Four people have been arrested in relation to a case of breaking and entering and burglary in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville on Montreal’s South Shore. Longueuil police (SPAL) received a 911 call at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday about the incident on Cadieux Street. “Items were reportedly stolen,” police said. “One suspect, a 51-year-old woman, was arrested at the scene.” Officers and the K9 unit then located three other suspects hiding in a building on Durham Street. A security perimeter was established, and two other suspects, aged 34 and 35, were quickly arrested. The fourth suspect, a 31-year-old man, remained inside for hours but was eventually arrested. “The suspect was immobilized by gas and transported to a hospital as a precautionary measure,” police said. “The situation is now under control, and the streets have been reopened.” The force adds that “information obtained indicates that this was a targeted incident.” The investigation is ongoing.
