A 26-year-old man was arrested and is looking at over $2,100 in fines after being clocked going at least 115 km/h over the speed limit in Montreal, possibly while drunk. Quebec provincial police (SQ) said in a news release that just before 3 a.m. on Sept. 18, the highway patrol intercepted a vehicle on Highway 20 westbound near Pullman Boulevard going 185 km/h in the 70km/h zone. The Montreal man received a $2,143 ticket along with 24 demerit points. His driver’s license was also suspended for a week. “In addition, police arrested the driver on a charge of impaired driving,” the SQ said.
