Massage parlour fire bombed in Hochelaga, Montreal, arson squad investigating

The Montreal police (SPVM) arson squad is investigating after a fire bomb was thrown through the window of a massage parlour in Hochelaga.

The SPVM responded at around 10:20 p.m. on Thursday night to the three-storey building on Sainte-Catherine Street East on the corner of Davidson Street.

“Witnesses reported seeing a suspect throwing an object at the building seconds before the fire started,” said SPVM spokesperson Manuel Couture.

The suspect fled and has not been located.

“The fire was quickly contained by firefighters and did not affect the building’s structure,” said Couture.

The building was evacuated, and employees temporarily had to leave the premises.

The file was transferred to the SPVM’s arson unit.
