Man dies after being found unconscious at ski resort in Mont-Tremblant

A man has died after being found unconscious at a ski resort in Mont-Tremblant, about an hour and a half away from Montreal, on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), officers from its Laurentians north station were called to the resort at noon.

The man, in his 40s, was found on the ground near a tree.

He was pronounced dead on site, and his body was taken to the hospital.

Police officers were on the scene to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding his death; a coroner was also notified.

The SQ says it is still too early to say how he could have died.
