Man charged with attempted murder after woman attacked in Laval

Laval police are investigating after a 50-year-old woman was attacked in her home in the Chomedey district. A man is facing a charge of attempted murder.

A 50-year-old woman is in serious but stable condition after she was attacked in her Laval home.

Police say the woman went to the hospital on her own, arriving around 4:20 a.m. on Monday morning with injuries caused by a blunt object.

The incident occurred in her apartment in the Chomedey district.

A 59-year-old man has been arrested and is facing a charge of attempted murder.

Police have not disclosed the nature of the relationship between the two.
