Here are the weekend road closures for the Montreal area

Commuters heading in and out of Montreal this weekend should be aware that construction on certain routes could result in road closures.

Drivers are advised to plan before leaving their homes.

Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel (A-25)

Southbound

• From Friday at 11 p.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m., the tunnel will be closed between Exit 5 (Sherbrooke Street) in Montreal and Route 132 in Longueuil.

As a result, access from Sherbrooke, Tellier and Des Futailles streets will not be possible.

In addition, Souligny Avenue eastbound will be closed between Dickson and Honoré-Beaugrand streets.

Northbound

• From Friday at 11 p.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m., the tunnel will be closed between Exit 90 (R-132) on Highway 20 west in Longueuil and the Sherbrooke Street access on Highway 25 north in Montreal.

As a result, the Route 132 east and west access ramps (exits 89-N) will be closed at 10:30 p.m.

Charles-de-Gaulle Bridge (A-40)

• From Friday at 9:30 p.m. to Monday at 4 a.m., one of three lanes will be closed on Highway 40 in both directions between Gouin Boulevard East in Montreal and Route 344 (Saint-Charles Road) in Terrebonne, including the Charles-De Gaulle Bridge.
• The speed limit will also be reduced to 50 km/h on Highway 40 in both directions.

Viger Avenue East

• On Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., three of four lanes will be closed between Papineau Avenue and Panet Street.

In case of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, the work may be cancelled or modified.
