Arson squad investigating fire that destroyed Terrebonne home

Arson squad investigators are looking into a fire in Terrebonne that destroyed a residence early Saturday morning.

Firefighters from the Terrebonne/Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines/Bois-des-Filion department responded to several calls about a fire on 4th Avenue in the municipality north of Montreal.

“The fire spread quickly and the residence is a total loss,” police said in a news release. “There were no injuries, as the residents were away. Evidence at the scene indicates that the cause of the fire is suspicious.”

Investigators and technicians are analyzing the scene and are asking anyone with information to contact authorities.
