A 60-year-old man died on Sunday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash in Saint-Zotique in Quebec’s Montérégie region. According to Stéphane Tremblay, a spokesperson with the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), emergency services were called to 34e Avenue at 5:30 p.m. after a vehicle carrying three people skidded off the road. Initial reports suggest the driver lost control before veering out of his lane and colliding with a post. The driver, a resident of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other two passengers were reported to have minor injuries.
