Workplace tragedy in Bruce County

One person is dead and another has been seriously injured following a workplace incident near Chepstow.

The South Bruce OPP say they, along with the Brockton Fire Department and Bruce County Paramedic Services, were called to a property on Concession 6, near Chepstow, around 6 a.m. Friday morning.

They say they found a person trapped under a concrete wall.

Police say a 37 year old from Hanover died as a result, and a 35 year old from Arran-Elderslie was rushed to a trauma centre in London, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The Ministry of Labour has been notified and is now leading the investigation into the workplace death.
