Woodstock man facing arson charge after basement fire

Police in Woodstock say they’ve laid several charges against a suspect after a recent house fire.

According to police, a 27-year-old man broke into a home on Sobeski Tuesday, then set a fire in the basement.

Investigators say there is extensive interior damage.

Police say the suspect is facing charges of arson, mischief, break and enter, and weapon possession, and they remain in custody pending a bail hearing.
