Fatal crash on Veterans Memorial Parkway in London

One person has died after a two-vehicle crash in London on Sunday.

It was initially reported that one person was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but police now say that person has succumbed to their injuries.

Around 7 p.m., emergency crews responded to the area of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Gore Road for the two-vehicle crash.

The male driver and passenger of the other involved vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

“This tragic incident is a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and the responsibilities shared by all road users,” said London police.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area between 7:00 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. and may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam, residential, or business surveillance footage, to please contact them.

Veterans Memorial Parkway was closed southbound from Trafalgar to Gore Road, and Gore Road was closed between Veterans Memorial Parkway and Marconi gate.
