Smoke and sun: Thursday’s weather outlook for southern Ontario

There’s a special air quality statement in effect as a smoke from the forest fires and the prairies makes its way into southern Ontario.

“We are seeing extreme risk as well as we head towards Huron County and Bruce County,” CTV News London meteorologist Julie Atchison.

After a cooler start to the day, temperatures this afternoon are expected to come up into the mid 20s

“We have a stationary boundary south of us that’s generated some light rainfall — welcomed rainfall across the area as we close out the month of July,” said Atchison. “Rainfall clears out as we head into the afternoon already starting to see clearing taking hold in midwestern Ontario becoming a mix of sun and cloud.”

The extended forecast looks absolutely fantastic as we move into the holiday weekend with wall-to-wall sunshine for your Friday, 26 and comfortable overnight lows, low humidity, comfortable conditions and absolutely beautiful.
