Sarnia police seek third suspect in violent stabbing incident

Sarnia police are appealing to the public for information after a third suspect was identified following a violent break and enter and stabbing in Sarnia earlier this week.

As previously reported by CTV News, on March 9, 2026, at 9:16 p.m., Sarnia police were sent to a residence in the area of Russell Street South for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from a serious stab wound to the leg.

Police immediately provided emergency first aid, including applying a tourniquet to control the bleeding, before the victim was transported to a nearby hospital.

Due to the severity of the injuries, the victim was later airlifted to a nearby trauma centre for further treatment, where he is now listed in stable condition.

Police say three masked suspects dressed in dark clothing forced entry into a locked bedroom within the residence. The suspects allegedly assaulted the victim before one of the individuals stabbed him in the leg, while a second person inside the residence who attempted to intervene was also assaulted before the suspects fled the scene.

As a result, Sarnia police are looking for three suspects wanted in connection to the stabbing.

Two suspects, Tesha Oliver and Jacob Oliver, are currently sought for their alleged role in the stabbing, and face charges including break and enter, assault, and failing to comply with a probation order.

Police add that at the time of the incident, both accused were under court-ordered conditions prohibiting the possession of weapons.

Earlier in the week Sarnia police announced a third suspect had been identified and is now being sought.

Donovan Joseph is currently wanted for the following offences:

• Aggravated assault
• Break and enter
• Assault
• Disguise with intent
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Fail to comply with probation order
• Fail to comply with release order

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Donovan Joseph or the other two outstanding suspects, Tesha Oliver and Jacob Oliver, to contact the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Police remind the public not to approach these individuals if seen and to contact police immediately.
