Photos have emerged of a vehicle - allegedly driven by London Knight Cam Allen – which crashed on Saturday Feb. 8, 2025. A neighbour in the area of Colonel Talbot Rd. (CTR) and Clayton Walk provided CTV News with pictures of a car which left the sidewalk and crashed into a hill and stones. “At approximately 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, members of the London Police Service (LPS) Uniformed Division responded to a single vehicle collision, that was reported to police by citizen,” said Const. Matt Dawson of the LPS. “Officers arrived on scene and located the single vehicle. They did locate some blood on the vehicle and in the immediate area. The driver was located a short distance away and arrested.” Cam Allen, 20, a defenceman with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) has been charged with five offences. List of charges - Impaired operation of a vehicle - Impaired operation exceed blood alcohol concentration - Fail to remain - Fail to report accident, and novice driver- blood alcohol concentration above zero. Snowfall has since covered the tire tracks which lead from CTR heading south. Debris could be seen scattered in the area Monday morning. In surveillance video seen by CTV, three people can be seen on the sidewalk prior to police arriving to the scene. “One person in the vehicle was transported to hospital by paramedic services with minor injuries,” confirmed Dawson. LPS has not identified the injured passenger. The London Knights did not agree to an interview however General Manager Mark Hunter released a statement on Sunday. In a follow up on Monday the Knights said they will not be providing additional information outside of the statement at this time. The Ontario Hockey League has not yet confirmed if any disciplinary action will be taken. In an email to CTV News, a spokesperson said that more information will be provided on Tuesday morning. In March 2024, a member of the Halifax Mooseheads was suspended for five games after allegedly violating the team’s code of conduct, and that of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). At the time, reigning QMJHL MVP Jordan Dumais faced two charges - including driving impaired by alcohol and driving impaired by alcohol and or drugs. Allen was released from custody of LPS and will make his first court appearance on Mar. 6, 2025 in relation to the charges.
