Patients urged to seek care elsewhere as Clinton ER closes Friday night to Sunday morning

The emergency department at Clinton hospital will be closed on Friday and Saturday this week.

Staff shortages are to blame for the reduction in services that will start at 8 p.m. on Friday through until 8 a.m. on Sunday.

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is urging anyone who needs medical attention to call 911 — paramedics will remain available to the community and will re-route to the nearest available emergency department.

The closest 24-hour emergency departments to Cilnton are Seaforth, Goderich and Exeter.
