Oxford OPP say that they are still investigating a string of Pride flag thefts that have taken place in the community throughout the month of June. Investigators are appealing to the public to submit any footage of suspicious activities that the public has between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in the areas near the following locations since June 1: Members of the public can submit digital video or images through the following secure QR code. Emily Stowe Public School saw it’s flagpole cut down by vandals on the evening of Saturday, June 6 in a move that was widely condemned. Police have also confirmed that between June 12 and June 15, several Pride flags were reported stolen from multiple locations, including a school property and private residences on Jerdon Street and Stover Street. The community is not the only one to see the trend, a series of schools in Perth county saw similar vandalism to pride flags outside their buildings the weekend of June 14.
