An illegal distillery has been shut down in Sarnia by police, operating under the name Triple Eh Brews. The business was run under a false Manufacturer’s Licence, selling their illegally manufactured alcohol at summer festivals, markets throughout Ontario and over online delivery services. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario notified police of the business in July 2025, and police conducted a search warrant on Sept. 18 at a Lanark Drive residence and Green Street commercial building. Police seized a counterfeit Manufacturer’s Licence, 288 bottles of illegally manufactured alcohol, distillery equipment, point of sale machine and digital devices and printer. The owner faces the following charges by police: Police say they continue to investigate and are seeking any additional information about the illegal operations. The AGCO CEO Dr. Karin Schnarr said they’ll continue to work closely with law enforcement, as the unlicensed production and sales of alcohol poses “significant risks to public safety.”
