The latest investigation from the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) ended with an operation and arrest in Melville. On Aug. 6, the ICE unit executed a search warrant at a home in Melville. Electronic devices were seized by investigators. As a result of the operation, Kody Bassingthwaite, 22, was arrested and charged with one count of possessing child abuse and exploitation material. He made his first court appearance in Melville Provincial Court on Sept. 21 and was released subject to court-imposed conditions. His next court date is scheduled for Oct. 19.
