Two people were injured after a noxious substance was discharged inside a north London shopping mall early Wednesday afternoon. According to a social media post, London police say officers responded to CF Masonville Place at approximately 1:25 p.m. after a noxious substance was deployed inside a store. Police say during this time the store was robbed, and various items were stolen by the suspects. “I was working when teenagers about ages, I want to say around 14, 13 [years old], went into the Champs, were doing whatever. I didn’t see what happened. I only heard the commotion, and I saw the two of them run out with a bunch of stuff in hand, and then run down that way towards the shoppers and the youth before everyone started coughing around the area,” mall employee Sean Ashworgh told CTV News. A portion of the mall was evacuated as a precaution. At least two employees sustained minor injuries. Members of the Middlesex-London Paramedic Services attended to assist police at the scene.
