The London Knights hosted the Guelph storm Tuesday night, honouring the 2005 Knights squad before puck-drop. The 2005 Knights have been dubbed the CHL’s team of the century. They beat Sidney Crosby’s Rimouski Oceanic in the Memorial Cup final that year — the club’s first ever national championship. They also started the season with a CHL record 31-game unbeaten streak. And the Knights appeared to channel that ‘05 energy against Guelph — running up the score to a 7-3 win. Sam Dickinson led the way with two goals and an assist. Easton cowan recorded four assists. The two teams meet again tomorrow night, this time in Guelph.
