The London Knights jumped out to a big lead Wednesday night against the Guelph Storm, then held on for a relatively comfortable 5-2 win in front of their home fans. Five different goal scorers found the back of the net for London, including Ryan Brown, who scored his team-leading 20th goal of the season. Brown was also one of four Knights who recorded multi-point games. London had already opened up a 4-0 lead in the second period by the time Guelph scored their first. Jaxon Cover completed a three-point performance of his own, scoring to restore London’s three goal lead in the final period, effectively ending the Storm’s comeback efforts. The Knights find themselves in the middle of the OHL’s playoff picture, currently fighting for home ice advantage in the first round. There are seven games left on London’s regular season schedule. Their next game is Friday night, when they host the Erie Otters.
