A section of Highway 401 in east London will be closed overnight Tuesday as work continues on the Highbury Avenue overpass project. Both directions of Highway 401 will close at Veterans Memorial Parkway beginning at 7 p.m. to allow for girder placement as part of the ongoing construction project. Westbound traffic will be detoured onto Bradley Avenue and eastbound traffic will be detoured onto Wilton Grove Road. The closure is expected to remain in place overnight, with the highway scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday. Drivers are being advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time if travelling through the area.
