Health officials warn people not to drink water from Lake Rosalind

People living near Lake Rosalind in Bruce County are warned not to drink the water and to stay out of the lake.

Located near Walkerton, Lake Rosalind contains blue algae, Environment Canada says.

Public Health for Grey Bruce County says toxins produced by blue algae can't be neutralized by typical domestic treatment, and boiling the water doesn't get rid of them either.

Public Health is telling people not to swim in the lake, and if they get their drinking water from the lake to switch to bottled water.
