Goderich is going to get “salty” this long weekend. The third annual Goderich Salt Festival runs Thursday through Sunday, in Goderich. There will be special markets, food, music, tours, and events, with a “salted” theme. Salt was first discovered in Goderich in 1865, by accident. The town is now home to the World’s Largest Salt mine, 500 metres under Goderich, and stretching far out into Lake Huron, and along the Lake Huron shoreline.
