There is a fog advisory in effect for London, Middlesex and Huron County. Near zero visibility is expected with dense fog in some areas. Travel will likely be hazardous and visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times. Overcast skies and some light drizzle also kick off your Friday, and springlike temperatures could be on the horizon - but not before those overcast skies lead to some precipitation in the region. “Chance for rain will arrive this evening,” predicted CTV London Meterologist Julie Atchison. “[The forecast model] looks to bring around showers and the potential for some thunderstorms heading into tonight.” Some areas in the midwest could see in excess of 15 millimeters of rain, however temperatures are expected to stay fairly mild. “Heading into your Saturday, cloudy,” said Atchison. “A cold front will move through with the risk of showers.... [with] the possibility of a few thunderstorms. bubbling up.” If you have outdoor plans for your weekend, you may want to push them a day or so, with the best day in the forecast expected to be Sunday, “we are expecting sunny skies and temperatures quite spring like in southern Ontario,“ smiled Atchison.
