Emergency crews respond after SUV smashes into Wharncliffe Road business

Emergency crews were called to a business on Wharncliffe Road on Tuesday after a vehicle crashed through the front door.

At about 12:45 p.m., a white SUV was seen inside the La‑Z‑Boy store, south of Commissioners Road, after smashing through the glass entrance.

One woman was removed from the vehicle by emergency medical services and according to police, was taken to hospital. There was no immediate word on her condition.
