East Lions Community Centre back in operation Tuesday, pool repairs still underway

An east London community centre is set to resume operations Tuesday morning.

City officials say a transformer blew Friday night at the East Lions Community Centre and was closed over the weekend while repairs were carried out.

All programs are expected to resume today except for the pool.

According to staff, crews are still working on mechanical components, with no timeline for when those will be completed.

Anyone registered for programs involving the pool will get an email about refunds, extensions, or other arrangements.
