Crash claims one life in Oxford County, injures another

Oxford OPP say one person has died after a late afternoon crash east of Woodstock, and another was left with serious injuries.

Police say the crash involved a commercial truck and a passenger vehicle.

According to police, an occupant in the car was airlifted to hospital where they are being treated for their serious injuries. The driver, 58, was pronounced dead.

The two occupants of the commercial truck were uninjured.

The collision happened at Highway 53 and Subway Line in Norwich Township around 1 p.m. The road was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
