Those looking for a quick bite in Orléans will have a new spot to get a chicken sandwich this month. U.S.-based fast food chain Chick-fil-A announced it will be opening its new restaurant located at 4280 Innes Rd. on June 25. The locally owned and operated store will be Canada’s 30th Chick-fil-A location and third in Ottawa, including one in the Rideau Centre and another at Tanger Outlets in Kanata. A fourth location is planned for College Square to replace the Beer Store outlet, according to an application filed with the City of Ottawa, though no official opening date has been announced. The restaurant will employ approximately 100 full-time and part-time employees, the chain said in a news release. To celebrate the opening of the Orléans location, Chick-fil-A says “cows will eat free” on its first day in operation. Customers wearing a cow suit or simple cow-spotted accessories at its opening day “moo-ving” party will receive a free entrée. The restaurant will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and takeout from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays to “give team members the opportunity to rest, enjoy time with their families and worship if they choose.”
