Bruce County officials warn residents of fraudulent emails that appear to originate from Bruce County email accounts. They say they are actively investigating where the emails originated from, and asking residents to share any suspicious emails that look like they’re from Bruce County with them. In one instance, a fraudulent e-mail was seeking an e-transfer payment. Bruce County say they do not use e-transfers as payments. Officials say some of the fraudulent e-mails contained invoices, County logos and branding to appear legitimate.
