Bank robbery under investigation in St. Thomas

St. Thomas police say they're investigating an attempted robbery at a bank on Talbot Street Tuesday afternoon.

Police in St. Thomas are investigating a robbery that took place at Libro Bank on Talbot Street.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Police responded after receiving multiple 911 calls from an employee and a customer at the scene.

When officers arrived, the suspects had already fled the scene.

Four males, described as Black or dark-complexioned and believed to be in their late teens to early twenties, entered the business and bound the hands of several employees, police say.

According to police, one of the suspects was observed brandishing what appeared to be a firearm.

The suspects fled westbound in a silver or grey Honda CR-V parked on the south side of the business.

The suspects were inside the premises for approximately five minutes, and no money or property was taken.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspects.
