A shooting outside of a London hospital on Dec. 14, 2024 has resulted in charges for an 18-year-old Brampton man. At roughly 2:30 a.m. that day, police responded to an incident outside London Health Sciences Centre on Commissioners Road. Upon arrival, a pickup truck was found to have struck a cement pillar, and a gun had been fired multiple times, with the outside of the building sustaining damage from the bullets. The initial confrontation was believed to have taken place in the area of White Oak Road and Southdale Road, involving possible gunfire. Police say that it’s believed that the victim drove himself to the hospital. An investigation by the London Police Service has resulted in charges for Doneil Josiah Levy-Porter, 18, of Brampton. Charges include attempt to commit murder using a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, dangerous operation of a conveyance, discharge a restricted firearm or a prohibited firearm in a reckless manner, fail to comply with release order, and fail to comply with undertaking. He is currently in the custody of another law enforcement agency.
