A Guelph woman has been arrested after police say a man was injured when a glass was thrown during an altercation at a downtown bar. Guelph Police said the man contacted them Friday to report the assault, which occurred the previous night. The man told police he had been at a bar when he became involved in a verbal altercation with a woman he had met that night. Police said the argument became physical when the woman threw a glass, striking the man in the upper lip and causing a laceration that required stitches. Police said a 20-year-old Guelph woman turned herself in Monday and was arrested on a charge of assault with a weapon.
