A London man is facing charges after an impaired driving incident involving a collision with an ambulance. According to police, the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday by a residence on Duchess Avenue near Dane Street. Investigators were told by paramedics at the scene that the driver struck a parked ambulance before colliding with a second parked vehicle in a driveway and fleeing the area. Then, police began receiving reports of a silver sedan being driven dangerously in the area of Western Road and Sarnia Road. They say the vehicle was driving on sidewalks, down a flight of stairs, through red lights, and nearly striking pedestrians. Later, officers found the suspect vehicle entering the Base Line Road East entrance of Victoria Hospital on Commissioners Road East.
