Ontario Provincial Police said they pulled an impaired driver off the road who was operating a fully-loaded dump truck. Members of the public notified officers to the situation just after 1 p.m. on Thursday. “[They were] alerting officers of a fully loaded dump truck full of gravel swerving and crossing the centre line, almost striking oncoming traffic near Queen Street within the Town of Puslinch,” a media release said. OPP also shared the photo of a vodka bottle beside the driver’s seat. The 27-year-old from Brampton was charged with operation while impaired (blood alcohol concentration 80 plus). His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, while the dump truck was impounded for seven days. “The Wellington County OPP would like to thank the public for their call and assistance in keeping our streets safe,” the release said.
