A man out on bail for charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking faces new charges following a Guelph Police investigation. The service’s drug enforcement unit began their investigation this fall into a man they believed to be trafficking several controlled substances. Police then executed a search warrant on Monday night at an apartment near Woolwich Street and Speedvale Avenue. After arresting the man, officers found cocaine and crystal methamphetamine valued at $3,850, four pellet guns, two scales and an unspecified amount of cash. Further investigation revealed the suspect was out on bail on the condition he had to live with his surety and stay there at all times. The apartment the man was found at was not that address. The 31-year-old man was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and three counts of breaching bail orders.
