Tillsonburg man struck and killed by lightning while mowing lawn

CTV Kitchener: Fatal lightning strike The community of Tillsonburg is grieving the loss of a pet store owner who was struck and killed by lightning. Carina Sledz reports.

Police say a 52-year-old Tillsonburg man has died after being struck by lightning.

OPP say Dave Johnson was mowing his lawn Sunday afternoon when he was struck as a violent storm swept through the area.

Police say emergency personnel tried to revive him.

Johnson was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
