Snowmobiler killed in crash near Brantford

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal snowmobile crash just outside of Brantford.

They said it collided with another vehicle on Brant County Road 18, between 6 School Road and Highway 54, around 5 p.m. Saturday.

The snowmobiler was taken to hospital with unknown injuries where they were later pronounced deceased.

OPP said the driver of the other vehicle was not hurt and remained at the scene.

No further details have been shared about the incident, including the identity of the snowmobiler or the circumstances leading up to the crash.

Brant County Road 18 reopened to traffic shortly after 11:30 p.m.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash, or has dash cam video of the area, to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
