Environment Canada have issued a severe thunderstorm warning across southern Ontario, including Waterloo Region. The weather unit came out with the yellow level warning minutes before 5 p.m. Saturday. Strong wind gusts and up to quarter sized hail is possible during the storm. Environment Canada also urges resident to protect themselves from flying debris and hail if they are outside. Rainfall is expected throughout the rest of Saturday night into Sunday morning, with the possibility of more spotty showers.
