The Kitchener Rangers were unable to find home momentum Friday night, dropping to 0-2 at The Aud this season and 1-2 overall after a 4-3 loss to the Erie Otters. Ty Henry and Lucas Ambrisio fired two goals home 55 seconds apart midway through the first to give the Otters a 2-0 lead after the first 20 minutes. Erie added a third early in the second courtesy of Liam Beamish, before Kitchener finally got on the board through Charlie Puglisi, making the score 3-1 heading into the final frame. Beamish was bullish to begin the last period, finding his second of the net before Luca Santala, a forward recently acquired in a trade with the London Knights, scored his first of the season with the Blueshirts. Luca Romano scored with just over two minutes to go to make it 4-3, with the East Avenue Blue unable to find the tying goal before the final buzzer went. Kitchener outshot Erie in all three periods and had six power plays in the contest. The Rangers will head to Erie Saturday for the second game of a weekend triple-header, before returning back to Kitchener Sunday to square off against the Kingston Frontenacs.
