Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a robbery during an online marketplace transaction in the city’s west end. Officers were called to the area of Prosperity Drive and Foxglove Crescent on Saturday, between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., after receiving reports of a robbery linked to a pre-arranged online sale. Police said the buyer and seller had agreed to meet in the neighbourhood to complete the transaction. A brief physical altercation took place before the suspect fled on foot with the property, heading down a paved pathway toward Everglade Crescent. The suspect is described as a Black male, 18 to 20 years old, with a slim to average build and black curly hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and grey pants. The investigation is ongoing.
