Kids in Brantford got a little more than they bargained for this Halloween after parents said they found nails in several pieces of candy. A family near St. Paul Avenue and Grand River Avenue reached out to the Brantford Police Service on Sunday to report the unexpected finding. Police believe the candy have may been collected in the Holmedale area of Brantford, and urged parents to inspect the candy their children got on Halloween. The affected chocolate bars included Mars and Twix, according to investigators. Investigators ask residents to keep any suspicious candy, including the packaging, and contact police for next steps. The candy should not be eaten.
