An illegal ‘magic mushroom’ shop in Brantford, Ont. has been shut down and a man is facing a trafficking charge. The Brantford Police Service began their investigation on Sept. 16 after the businesses recently re-opened on Murray Street after it had been shut down twice before. On Friday, Sept. 26, police searched the business again. Officers said they seized 3,421.5 grams of suspected psilocybin worth an estimated $43,495. A 36-year-old Brantford man has been charged with possession of psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking. Police have not named the business. In July police announced they had seized $29,674 in psilocybin products from a FunGuyz store on Murray Street.
