One lucky person scored a hole-in-one in Cambridge – without ever teeing off. Dozens of golf balls were dropped from a helicopter onto the 18th green at the Galt County Club on Monday morning. The event was a fundraiser for KW AccessAbility, a non-profit that supports and advocates for people with physical disabilities. Donors purchased numbered golf balls. Once all of them had been dropped, representatives from the organization determined which one was closest to the pin. The person who paid for that golf ball was awarded the $10,000 prize. KW AccessAbility said the winner would be contacted by phone or email, and once they picked up the money, their name and photo would be shared on the organization’s website.
