Guelph business owner bitten by shoplifter

Guelph Police are investigating a shoplifting incident where a business owner was bitten.

According to police, two females went to a store near Willow Road and Dawson Road on Wednesday evening to buy alcohol, but did not have identification, so they left empty-handed.

Police said one of them returned shortly after and grabbed a case of alcohol. She attempted to flee but was stopped by the owner, leading to a struggle where the owner was bitten near their wrist, leaving a small cut on their hand.

The suspect fled with only one can of alcohol.

The alleged biter was described as 5’6” with blonde hair and wore a black dress with a printed pattern. She was last seen on Willow Road headed towards Edinburgh Road North.
